How do I add many products at once from photos? (Product studio)
Upload photos of 30 or 50 pieces at once; the studio groups each piece’s photos, you set price and category once and publish them all in one click.
If you have many one-off pieces (preloved clothes, handmade items…), the Product studio lets you add 30 or 50 pieces at once from their photos instead of one product at a time.
Where is it?
In Products click Add in bulk next to New product. It works on phone and computer.
Step 1: photos
- Drop the photos on the box, or tap it and choose from the gallery or camera (JPG, PNG, WEBP, HEIC).
- A progress bar shows the upload; a failed photo can be retried.
- Pick a smart grouping:
- By capture time: photos taken within half a minute are one piece. A photo with no capture time (e.g. from WhatsApp) is its own piece.
- Each photo = a product.
- By file name: dress-1 and dress-2 become one piece.
Fix any grouping: merge pieces, split a photo into its own piece, drag a photo onto another piece (computer), or Regroup all.
Step 2: details
Shared values sit above the pieces: category, price, before-discount price, condition and quantity. A piece that leaves a field empty takes the shared value; a value typed on the piece wins.
- For each piece type the name and size (the size is added to the name).
- Tap a photo to make it the main one.
- On a computer use the Quick table: Tab through the cells, and paste a column of names or prices from Excel into the first cell to fill down.
- Select pieces to merge them, set a price, size or category, or remove them.
Each piece shows its state: Ready, what's missing, or Same name exists.
Step 3: review and publish
- See how many are ready or missing; take me there jumps to the missing ones.
- Choose Publish them shown or Save them hidden to review.
- Click Publish. Only ready pieces go (up to 100 at a time); the rest stay for you to finish.
Tip: quantity starts at 1 with stock tracking on, so a piece shows “Sold out” once it sells and comes back if the order is cancelled.
Note: your work autosaves in the browser. The condition is written as the first line of the description.
