How to open an online store in Sudan on Elmatajer

Short answer: yes, you can open your store from Sudan. Sign up, choose Sudan as your store's country and register with your Sudanese number. Your store sells in Sudanese pounds or US dollars, your customers pay cash on delivery, and you set the delivery yourself. The first 14 days are free.

Signing up

1. Open the sign-up page and enter your name, email and password.
2. In the store details step, choose Sudan under Your store's country.
3. Enter your Sudanese mobile number (+249), nine digits like 912345678.
4. Confirm your email with the code you receive, then confirm your number with a WhatsApp code.

Your store currency

Your store starts in Sudanese pounds. To sell in US dollars, change it under Store settings → Currency & orders → Store currency. Prices are not converted automatically, so check your product prices after you switch. Details in currency and order settings.

Payment and delivery

• Payment: your customers pay cash on delivery only. Online payment gateways and transfers run on Egyptian accounts, so they don't appear for stores in Sudan. See setting up cash on delivery.
• Delivery: you deliver yourself. Set your areas and the fee for each under Shipping & delivery → Local delivery. The connected carriers (like Bosta) work inside Egypt only, so they don't appear for stores in Sudan.

Subscription
