How do I create a merchant account?
How to sign up on Elmatajer: the details you need, the activation code sent to your email, and signing up with Google.
Signing up takes about a minute. You enter a few basic details, confirm your email with a code, and then go straight to setting up your store.
Before you start
- A real email address you can open (your activation code goes there).
- A mobile number. Egyptian numbers must start with 010, 011, 012 or 015 and be 11 digits long.
- You don't need a store name yet; you choose it in the setup step after signing up.
Sign-up steps
- Open the sign-up page at elmatajer.com/register.
- Enter your Full name, Email address and Mobile number.
- Choose a Password (at least 8 characters) and type it again in Confirm password.
- Tick the box to agree to the terms and privacy policy, then click Create my store.
- The Verify your identity page opens. Check your inbox for an email titled «رمز تفعيل حسابك» with a 6-digit code, enter it and click Verify code.

No code? Wait a minute and check your spam folder. The code is only valid for a short time (the countdown is shown under Code expires in); if it runs out, click Resend code.
Signing up with Google
If a Google button appears under or continue with, you can use it instead of typing your details:
- Click the Google button and pick your account.
- No activation code is needed because Google already confirms your email.
- The Create your password page opens. Choose a password (at least 8 characters) so you can also sign in with your email if you need to.
- Then continue with store setup as usual.
Common sign-up problems
| Message | Cause and fix |

| «رقم الموبايل غير صالح» (invalid mobile number) | Enter the full 11-digit Egyptian number with no spaces. |
| «من فضلك استخدم بريدًا إلكترونيًا حقيقيًا» (use a real email) | Temporary/disposable emails are not accepted. Use your main address. |
| «يجب أن يكون البريد الإلكتروني فريدًا» (email must be unique) | This email already has an account. Sign in with it instead of creating a new one. |
| «حدث خطأ ما. حاول مرة أخرى لاحقًا.» (something went wrong) | The email may already be used by a shopper account. Try another email; if it keeps happening, contact us. |
| «يرجى تأكيد أنك لست روبوت.» (confirm you're not a robot) | Wait for the security check to finish, then click the button again. |
| Registration is closed | The platform is not accepting new accounts right now. Try again later. |
