How do I update several orders at once?
Select up to 50 orders in the list and apply "Confirm", "Ship", "Complete" or "Cancel" to all of them. Each order changes exactly as if you changed it from its own page: same customer email, same payment, stock and refund rules.

If you have lots of orders at the same stage — say 15 orders handed to the courier today — you don't need to open them one by one. Select them in the Orders list and change their status in one go.
Steps
- Open Orders. Use the tabs or filters to show only the orders you want.
- Tick the box next to each order, or tick the box in the table header to select every order on the page.
- A bar appears above the table with the number of "orders selected" and the buttons "Confirm", "Ship", "Complete" and "Cancel".
- Click the button you need and confirm in the message that appears.
- A result message tells you how many orders changed, how many were skipped and why — for example "3 order(s) cancelled — skipped: 1 already cancelled or received".
To clear your selection without doing anything, click "Deselect".
What do the buttons do?
| Button | Moves the orders to | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| "Confirm" | "Confirmed" | Email to the customer: the order is being prepared. |
| "Ship" | "Out for Delivery" (Shipped) | Email to the customer. Cash-on-delivery orders are marked "Paid"; online-payment orders are not. |
| "Complete" | "Completed" (delivered) | Email to the customer: the order is complete. |
| "Cancel" | "Cancelled" | Cancellation email, stock is returned, and paid orders are refunded. |
Each order is changed on its own, exactly as if you had opened it and used "Change Status": the same customer email and the same payment, stock and refund rules described in Order statuses explained.
Important rules
- At most 50 orders per action. If you select more you'll see "Select at most 50 orders at a time."
- Closed orders are skipped: an order that is "Cancelled" or "Received" doesn't change and is never reopened.
- Orders already at that stage are skipped: e.g. clicking "Ship" on an order that's already shipped.
- If an order couldn't be updated for any reason, the message tells you to open it and change its status from its page.
Bulk cancel and refunds
Before the cancellation runs, a message explains that each order will be cancelled on its own exactly as from its page. Click "Yes, cancel them" to go ahead or "Back" to stop.
- An "Unpaid" order (such as cash on delivery before shipping) is simply cancelled.
- A "Paid" order of a customer with an account in your store is refunded to their store wallet, once.
- A "Paid" guest order is marked "Refunded", and you return the money yourself.
Cancelling is final: cancelled orders can't be reopened. Also remember that a shipped cash-on-delivery order is already "Paid", so cancelling it for a customer with an account adds its value to their wallet. Details in How do I cancel an order or refund a customer?.
The quick button on each row
Each order in the list has a button that moves it straight to the next stage: "Confirm order" for a new order, "Mark as shipped" for a confirmed one and "Mark as completed" for a shipped one. It also does exactly what "Change Status" does.
