How is the delivery fee calculated in my store?
Today the delivery fee comes from the delivery areas and per-area fees you set, when local delivery is on. If you set a free-shipping minimum, orders that reach it ship free.

On Elmatajer you set your own delivery prices: you list the areas you deliver to and give each one a fee. At checkout the shopper picks their area and its fee is added to the total.
The basis: local delivery
All delivery settings are on one page: in the menu, "Shipping" → "Local Delivery". It has two parts:
- "Delivery settings": the "Enable local delivery" switch and the "Min. order amount for free shipping" field.
- "Delivery Areas": the areas you deliver to and each one's fee.
How the fee is worked out
| Situation | Delivery fee |
|---|---|
| Local delivery is off | Zero, and shoppers don't see an area choice. |
| Local delivery is on and at least one area is "Available to customers" | The shopper must pick their area and its fee is added to the order. |
| Local delivery is on but every area is paused | Zero, and checkout continues without an area choice. |
| The products total (before discount) reaches your free-shipping minimum | Zero, whatever the area. |
| Everything in the cart is digital | No delivery step and no fee. |
Note: The fee is recalculated on the server when the order is placed, so a shopper can't change it in the browser.
What about shipping companies?
You can connect your Bosta, Mylerz, ShipBlu or Aramex account and send them orders from the dashboard, but the fee the customer pays stays the area fee you set; the carrier charges you its own price. Set each area's fee to match your carrier. See How do I connect a carrier?
