How do I offer cash on delivery in some areas only?
In Local Delivery each area has a “Cash on delivery” or “Prepaid only” button; customers in prepaid-only areas pay online.

If you can only collect cash in some governorates, show cash on delivery to customers in those areas and have everyone else pay online.
Before you start
- This works with Local delivery areas — where the customer picks their area. Make each governorate an area with its fee: Set up local delivery areas.
- You need an online payment method on (Paymob or Kashier) so customers in other areas can pay.
Steps
- Open Shipping & delivery → Local Delivery.
- Next to each area click 💵 Cash on delivery where you don't want it; it becomes 💳 Prepaid only.
- Or click Off for all above the list, then switch back only the areas you want.
Every area starts with cash on delivery on, so nothing changes until you click.
What does the customer see?
- Open area: cash on delivery shows as usual.
- Prepaid-only area: cash on delivery disappears and they see “Cash on delivery is not offered in your area — pay online and your order ships as usual”.
- No online payment on: they see “This store does not deliver with cash on delivery to your area” and can't order — turn on Paymob or Kashier.
- Store pickup keeps cash on delivery.
Note: the store also checks on the server, so nobody can send a cash-on-delivery order for a closed area.
