How do I connect my Kashier account?
Enter your Merchant ID, API Key and Secret Key and pick an environment. Elmatajer verifies them with Kashier before saving, even in Sandbox.
Kashier is a gateway for cards, mobile wallets and Apple Pay, and the money goes into your own Kashier account. Elmatajer only connects your account; there is no shared platform account.
Note: Kashier is available to every store. Once you connect your account and turn it on, shoppers see it at checkout.
Before you start
Sign in to your Kashier dashboard and collect three things:
- Merchant ID: from the Profile page.
- API Key and Secret Key: from Integration → API Keys.
Steps
- Open "Payments & Billing" → "Payment Gateways" and click "Settings" on the Kashier row. The "Kashier Settings" page opens.
- In "Your Kashier credentials", enter the Merchant ID, API Key and Secret Key.
- Under "Environment", choose "Sandbox (testing)" or "Live (production)". The page advises: "Always start on Sandbox."
- Click "Save credentials".
- From "Integration URLs & help", copy the "Callback URL" and the "Webhook URL" into your Kashier account settings.
Verified before saving
In both Sandbox and Live, Elmatajer checks your details with Kashier before anything is saved:
- If they're correct: "Kashier credentials saved and verified."
- If not, nothing is saved and you see a message starting "Couldn't verify the Kashier credentials" that asks you to check the merchant id, keys and environment.
After connecting
You'll see "Connected account" with its status and environment. Under "Test & manage connection" there are three buttons:
- "Re-verify": checks the saved keys and brings you back to the page with "Kashier connection is healthy." or "Kashier connection failed — check your credentials."
- "Test connection": tests what is in the form without saving (a blank key field is tested with the saved key). The result appears right below the buttons, even while the account is connected.
- "Disconnect": asks "Disconnect the Kashier account?". After "Yes, disconnect" you'll see "Kashier disconnected.". Kashier disappears from checkout and takes no new payments until you connect again, but your saved keys are kept so payments that started before disconnecting still confirm — you can change them when you reconnect.
Changing your keys
- Click "Edit credentials".
- Saved keys are never filled into the fields. "Leave blank to keep the current key", or paste a new one.
- Click "Save credentials". The details are verified again before saving.
Warning: Don't copy the masked value (the one with ••••) and paste it as a key. It is refused with "Paste the real key from your Kashier dashboard — a masked value is not a key."
Note: When you change keys, the old ones keep working for 72 hours so payments in progress don't break, and a "Credentials rotating" notice appears. If you think an old key leaked, click "Invalidate now".
