If you clicked "Test connection" or saved your keys and got an error, find it below. Messages are listed from most to least common. (If your dashboard is in Arabic, the same messages appear in Arabic.)

Paymob

"Paymob accepted your keys, but your account has no card or wallet integration in this environment…"

Your keys are fine, but your Paymob account has no card or wallet integration in the environment you chose (Sandbox or Live).

  • Create one in Paymob (Developers → Payment Integrations) in that same environment, then test again.
  • If you already have integrations and still see this, add the optional API Key, save and test again: Elmatajer uses it to fetch the integration IDs from your account.

"Paymob rejected your Secret Key…"

Paymob refused the key. Copy it again in full from your Paymob dashboard (no spaces), paste and save.

"That doesn't look like a Paymob secret key" / "…public key"

You probably pasted a key into the wrong field. The Secret Key contains sk_ and the Public Key contains pk_.

"That looks like a test/sandbox key, but you selected Live" / "That looks like a live key, but you selected Sandbox"

The environment doesn't match the key. Change "Environment" or use the right keys.

"Your Paymob account is still in Test Mode, not Live…"

Switch your account to Live in the Paymob dashboard first, then use Live keys.

"Please wait …s before testing again."

You can test once every 10 seconds. Wait a moment and retry.

Other Paymob messages

  • "Paymob rejected the request. The account probably isn't fully activated…": finish activating your account with Paymob.
  • "Too many attempts in a short time — wait a moment and try again."
  • "Temporary issue on Paymob's side — please try again shortly."
  • "Couldn't reach Paymob…": a temporary connection problem; try again shortly.
  • "No Paymob connection saved.": save your keys with "Save details" first, then test.

Kashier

"Couldn't verify the Kashier credentials (…)"

Nothing was saved. The code in brackets tells you why:

  • merchant_id_mismatch: the Merchant ID doesn't belong to these keys. Copy it again from your Kashier Profile page.
  • api_access_failed: Kashier refused the keys. Check the API Key and Secret Key and that you picked the right environment.
  • creds_incomplete: something is missing or doesn't match. Check every field.

"Paste the real key from your Kashier dashboard — a masked value is not a key…"

You pasted the value with ••••. Paste the real key, or leave the field blank to keep the saved one.

"Kashier connection failed. Check your credentials."

The keys in the form didn't work. Correct them, save, then click "Re-verify".

"No Kashier account is connected."

Connect the account first with "Save credentials".

The test passed but shoppers don't see the gateway

Check that the gateway's own switch is on in "Available Payment Methods" and that you saved Live keys, not Sandbox, then reload your store's checkout. See payment methods available today.
