How do I hide or delete a product?
Hide a product temporarily with the eye button and bring it back whenever you like, or delete it permanently — one at a time or in bulk.

When a product sells out or its season ends, you have two options: hide it for now and bring it back later with one click, or delete it from your products and your store. In most cases hiding is better, because there's no button to bring a deleted product back.
Hiding and showing a product
- Open Products.
- On the product's row, click the eye icon (Hide from store).
- The product's status changes to Inactive (hidden).
To bring it back, click the same icon (now Show in store) and the status returns to Active.
When you hide a product, it disappears from your home page, categories and search results; hiding it with the eye button also removes it from any shopper's cart that contains it. All its details stay saved, and it stays in your Products list.
Note: the eye button in the list is the reliable way to hide a product. The Product is available for customers switch on the edit page currently doesn't hide a published product.
Deleting one product
- On the product's row, click the bin icon (Delete).
- You're asked “Delete this product?” with the product name — click Yes, delete.
- The product disappears from the list and you see “Products deleted”.
Warning: a deleted product is removed from your product list and your store, and its link shows a “not found” page. There's no button to bring it back, so if you might sell it again, hide it instead.
If a banner links to the product you deleted, open Banners and link the banner to something else or delete it — see the banners article.
Acting on several products at once
- Tick the boxes next to the products (or Select all in the table header).
- A bar appears with the number selected. Choose:
- Activate: shows them in your store (“Products activated”).
- Deactivate: hides them (“Products deactivated”).
- Delete: deletes them. You're asked “Delete selected? This cannot be undone.” — click Yes, delete (“Products deleted”).
Deleted products disappear from your list and your store; there's no trash or restore button. You can select up to 200 products at a time.
If you're a staff member
Deleting (with the bin or the bulk bar) needs the store owner to give you the “Delete Products” permission and also “Update Products”.
Which should I use?
| Situation | Best choice |
|---|---|
| Temporarily sold out, or seasonal | Hide — or turn on stock so it shows “Sold out” automatically |
| Still preparing it, not ready for shoppers | Hide |
| Added by mistake, or a duplicate | Delete |
| A draft you don't need | Delete |
