What is a product draft, and how do I finish or discard it?

Clicking New product creates a draft that saves automatically. Drafts stay hidden from shoppers until you click Publish product.

As soon as you click New product, the platform creates a draft for it and saves everything you type automatically. If your connection drops or you close the page by mistake, your work is still there. A draft never appears anywhere in your store — not on the home page, in categories or in search — its link shows a “not found” page, and nobody can add it to a cart, until you click Publish product.

What a draft keeps

  • Name and description (Arabic and English), sale price and original price, stock details, category and video link — saved about a second after you stop typing. You'll see Saved at the top.
  • Images are saved as soon as they upload.
  • Variants, add-ons and brands are saved when you publish the product.

One draft at a time

The platform keeps a single draft. If you have an unpublished draft and click New product, it reopens that same draft so you can finish it, instead of starting a new one. To start a completely new product, publish or delete the draft first.

Finding your draft

  • In Products, there's a Drafts count in the figures at the top, and a Drafts filter.
  • A draft carries a Draft badge; if it has no name yet it's listed as Untitled draft.
  • When a draft exists, a small chip with the count appears above the list — click it to filter to drafts.

Finishing and publishing a draft

  1. On the draft's row, click the pencil icon (Resume draft).
  2. Fill in what's missing, and make sure a category is selected.
  3. Click Publish product. The product becomes Active and appears in your store.

Deleting a draft

  1. In Products, tick the box next to the draft.
  2. In the bar that appears, click Delete.
  3. Confirm with Yes, delete.

Or use the bin icon (Delete) on the draft's row and confirm. The draft is removed from your product list, and there's no button to bring it back. More in How do I hide or delete a product?

Tip: the Hidden count at the top of the product list includes drafts too, so don't worry if it's higher than the number of products you hid yourself.
