My design changes don't show on my store — what do I do?

The usual causes: the edit wasn't saved, it was made on a theme that isn't active or in the other language, or a different Accent color is picked in the theme editor. Work through this list in order.

If you edited in the theme editor or design settings and the change isn't on your store, go through these causes in order — most cases are solved by the first three.

1. The change wasn't saved

The editor preview shows edits before you save, but shoppers only see them after Save. Make sure you saw "Changes saved successfully" and that the "You have unsaved changes" bar disappeared. If you saw "Could not save, try again", save again.

Store Settings work the same way: click Save on the bar that appears at the bottom.

2. You edited a theme that isn't active

Each theme keeps its own edits. If you clicked Customize on a theme other than the one marked Active in the Marketplace, your edits are saved for that theme only. Either edit the active theme, or install the theme you edited with Install.

3. You edited the text in a different language

Texts are stored separately per language. If you edited while the editor was on EN, a shopper viewing the store in Arabic still sees the old Arabic text. Switch with the EN / AR button and edit the other language too.

4. The colour doesn't change

Your store follows the Primary color in Store Settings, even after you save in the theme editor. If you changed it and nothing happened, check whether you picked a different Accent color in the editor → Global Design; a different colour there wins. Set it back to your store colour and click Save. Details in How do I change my store colours and logo?

And if you changed the dark-mode colours while your store is in light mode (or the reverse), the change won't be visible.

5. The section is hidden or empty

  • Check that the "Show/hide section" switch is on next to the section in the Sections list.
  • Product and category sections show your published products; with none published they may look empty.

6. The slider shows only one banner

  • A slider needs more than one published banner on the Banners page.
  • In Farida and Voltex, "All banners (slider)" must be selected; also check the ticks under "Slider banners".
  • Bazaaria shows a single image in its main section.

7. The language I chose doesn't show

"Arabic only" and "English only" apply to your store as soon as you save the storefront language, without any add-on. If you chose "Multi-language" and it shows a lock, the choice isn't saved. And if your store really is multi-language, it remembers the last language you picked with its language button. See How do I choose my store language?

8. My custom CSS or JavaScript doesn't work

  • JavaScript doesn't run inside the editor preview; test it on the live store after saving.
  • Code aimed at the footer credit line is removed automatically on save.
  • Not every theme has a custom JavaScript field.

9. The whole store won't open

If the store shows «المتجر غير متاح مؤقتاً» (Store temporarily unavailable), the problem isn't the design: your subscription has ended and the store is paused until you renew.

10. Rule out your browser

Open the store in a private (Incognito) window or refresh the page to make sure you aren't looking at an old copy.

Still stuck?

Contact support with the name of your active theme, the section you edited and a screenshot of the store.
