A discount coupon is a code your shopper types in the cart or at checkout to get money off their products. You can create a fixed-amount or a percentage coupon, and give it a minimum order, a validity period and a usage limit.
Before you start
- Coupons must be included in your plan. If you don't see «الكوبونات» (Coupons) in the sidebar under «المبيعات» (Sales), your current plan doesn't include it — see Which marketing tools are included in my plan?
- If you're a team member, the store owner has to give your role permission to manage coupons.
Create the coupon
- Open «الكوبونات» (Coupons) from the sidebar and click "New coupon".
- Enter a "Coupon Name" — an internal name for you, e.g. "Ramadan sale".
- Enter the "Coupon Code" your shoppers will type, e.g.
RAMADAN10. Keep it short, easy and without spaces. - Pick the "Discount Type": "Fixed" (an amount in your currency) or "Percentage (%)", and type the value in "Discount".
- In "Min. Order Amount", enter the minimum value of the products in the cart. For no minimum, enter 0.
- Set the "Start Date" and "End Date".
- Choose the "Usage Type": "Unlimited", or "Limited" and then enter the "Usage Limit" (the maximum number of orders that can use the code).
- Write a "Description" (a short internal note — the field is required) and click "Save coupon".
Rules applied to the order
| Rule | How it works |
|---|---|
| Validity | The coupon works from the first day of the Start Date through the last day of the End Date — both days included. |
| Minimum order | Checked against the value of the products in the cart, before delivery charges. The platform recalculates it from the cart itself. |
| Discount amount | Taken off the products only, never off delivery, and never more than the products' value. A percentage is calculated on the products' value. |
| Usage limit | Counted across your whole store: every order placed with the code counts, even if that order is cancelled later. |
| Per customer | There is no per-customer limit. The same shopper can reuse the code as long as the overall limit isn't reached. |
How shoppers use it
The cart page has a "Coupon code" box with an "Apply" button. The checkout page shows "Have a promo code?" — but only while you have at least one coupon that is switched on and not expired. A valid code shows "Coupon applied successfully".
Coupon status in your list
On the coupons page every coupon shows a status: "Active" (running now), "Scheduled" (not started yet) or "Expired" (past its end date). You can search by name or code, and edit or delete from the action icons.
Tip: There's no pause button. To stop a coupon early, edit its End Date to yesterday, or delete it.
Warning: The platform doesn't stop you from creating two coupons with the same code. If you repeat a code, the wrong coupon may be applied — keep every code unique.
