How do I manage product reviews and store testimonials?
The difference between product reviews and testimonials, how to add a customer testimonial for your home page, and how to delete a review.
You have two screens under «التحليلات والتقارير» ("Analytics & Reports") in the sidebar: "Product Reviews" and "Testimonials". Both build trust with visitors, but they do different jobs.
"Product Reviews"
This screen (titled "Reviews") lists every review in your store, with quick numbers on top: "Total Reviews", "Avg Rating", "5 Stars" and "1 Star". You can filter by "Product" or by "Rating" (number of stars), then click "Search".
- No approval step: reviews show immediately and there's no hide or approve button. To remove a review, click the "Delete" icon; a "Confirm delete" message appears — confirm with "Yes, delete".
- Who writes reviews? Shoppers can't currently write a review from your web store. Testimonials you add yourself also appear in this list.
Warning: If you delete one of your own testimonials from this list, it's deleted from both screens.
"Testimonials": add a testimonial
These are quotes you enter yourself from real customer messages or feedback. They appear on your store's home page.
- Open "Testimonials" and click "Add testimonial".
- Enter the "Name" and "Position" (for example "Customer from Cairo", or their job).
- Pick the number of stars and upload the "Image".
- Type the quote in "Description" and click "Save".
You can edit or delete any testimonial from the action icons, and reorder them by dragging the "Drag to reorder" handle.
Where testimonials appear
- On the home page of the Classic and Bazaaria themes, when the reviews section is shown in the customizer. Highest-rated ones come first.
- The other themes don't have a testimonials section at the moment.
- A product's average rating shows on its product page once it has ratings.
Tip: Only publish genuine feedback, and ask the customer before showing their name or photo. Made-up reviews damage shoppers' trust in your store.
